How interesting. It really is a spam-bot of sorts. I wonder if it's customized around my passcode. Let me see if I can neutralize it.

I'm trying to carefully weed out any spam here and am unsure if "blogi" is now some sort of expletive (I'm always a few years behind the curve). People get offended when comments are removed so I will leave this mysterious-ness here unless other oddities appear.

"WUD" sounds like "WMD." Makes me nervous for some reason :) I've been to Ohio a few times in my life. Nice place. No immediate plans unfortunately.

One of the best things about World Usability Day is - "there is always next year". Perhaps Parade magazine would like to do something next year that is more tightly linked to WUD. Maybe a "guide to holiday gadget buying that makes life simpler" that they publish and is integrated into various WUD events. Maybe Bose, which appears to advertise a lot in Parade, could tout their user centered design methods. Or some other article that let's consumers know that there are companies that care about making life simple. And so on.

Keith
PS Does your book tour bring you through Ohio?

Thanks for bring it up Keith. I was personally chided by <a href="http://www.worldusabilityday.org/press/press-coverage-for-world-usability-day-2005" rel="nofollow">Liz</a> for not working to promote WUD more. Everyone follow Director Liz!

I think the timing of your Parade article is a coincidence. It was published the same week as World Usability Day (November 14th). If so, great timing! See http://worldusabilityday.org/ for more information.

There is no way for me to watch The Office in my country. However just 5 short video clips of The Office at nbc.com make me laugh. Now I understand where your humor came from.
