I’ve been tracking various stats about simplicity and complexity for a while on Google. Here you can watch the various rising and falling of the simplicity and complexity memes, as well as other comparisons that are near and dear to my own heart. Clicking on the arrow indicators will display relevant Google News stories when they exist; clicking on the date will give a side by side comparison comparing the two terms. Note that sometimes Google News has no news related to the specific term (even though there’s probably relevant news … it’s just not indexed as such).
