My trend meter was broken for a while, but I think it’s finally fixed. The Google API was getting a bit flaky for me, so I switched over to Yahoo!’s API (my note on what an API means is right here). I own stock in neither of the two companies (unfortunate for me), so the change has everything to do with the operational simplicity of their respective API’s.

One of the neatest things about the trend meter is that when you click on the date of entry, it will show you a side-by-side of Google search results. I still have to tune my system during Winter Break as there are still some bugs. Thank you for your patience.

My simplicity/complexity trend meter is now up and running. In addition to tracking the ebb and flow of simplicity and complexity, it also observes a variety of statistics that illustrate the greater complexity in our world.
